Signs of Cold Stress in Selloum
Symptoms
Selloum favors warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes best when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 55℉. If the temperature drops below 45℉, foliage may lose vibrancy. Following frost damage, leaves progressively turn brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping might appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from cold. Select a location near a south-facing window for the plant, ensuring sufficient light exposure. Furthermore, avoid positioning the plant near heating units or AC vents to prevent excessive air dryness.
Signs of Heat Stress in Selloum
Symptoms
In summer, Selloum should be maintained below 82℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, leaf coloration fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun. Hydrate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
