Signs of Cold Stress in Pineapple sage

Pineapple sage tolerates cool temperatures moderately well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 45℉, its foliage might begin to sag. Minor cases can recover, but severe instances lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before further exposure to low temperatures, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from cold gusts.

Symptoms
In summer, Pineapple sage should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the leaves' color fades, tips may dry and shrivel, leaves might curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Cut off any sunburned and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
