Signs of Cold Stress in Small Soapweed
Symptoms
Small Soapweed tolerates cold moderately well, flourishing optimally between 65℉ and 75℉. In winter, temperatures should remain above 50℉. Below 32℉, foliage may darken. Severe cases can lead to water-soaked decay, wilting, drooping, and a gradual browning of leaves.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection. Indoors, position near a south-facing window for adequate light. Supplement with artificial lighting if natural light is insufficient.
Signs of Heat Stress in Small Soapweed
Symptoms
In summer, Small Soapweed needs temperatures below 75℉. Exceeding 90℉ slows growth, lightens leaf color, and increases sunburn vulnerability.
Solutions
Remove sun-scorched and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area shaded from the afternoon sun. Water in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
