Signs of Cold Stress in Lion's tail
Symptoms
Lion's tail favors warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, its leaves might lose some color. Following frost damage, the foliage progressively darkens to brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping can appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from the cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it close to heating units or air conditioning vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Lion's tail
Symptoms
In summer, Lion's tail should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the leaves' hue fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area that offers shade from the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
