Signs of Cold Stress in Stokes' aster
Symptoms
Stokes' aster tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 60℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while no immediate changes might be visible in winter, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Stokes' aster
Symptoms
During summer, Stokes' aster should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in color, tend to curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
