Signs of Cold Stress in Wineberry
Symptoms
Wineberry exhibits remarkable resilience to cold, yet winter temperatures should remain above 40℉. Should the temperature fall below this point, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, branches could become fragile and desiccated by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
During spring, remove any lifeless branches that have not developed new foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Wineberry
Symptoms
Wineberry does not tolerate elevated temperatures well. When temperatures surpass 75℉, it may suffer considerable leaf loss, and in extreme instances, the entire plant could wilt and perish.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-damaged and dried-out sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
