Signs of Cold Temperatures in Egyptian grass
Symptoms
Egyptian grass tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 77℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 68℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Warm Temperatures in Egyptian grass
Symptoms
During summer, Egyptian grass should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, plant leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
