Signs of Cold Stress in Wood anemone
Symptoms
Wood anemone tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 50℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 41℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while no immediate changes might be visible in winter, there could be reduced or absent sprouting in spring.
Solutions
In springtime, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Wood anemone
Symptoms
During summer, Wood anemone should be maintained below 68℉. When temperatures surpass 77℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the entire plant may wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
