Signs of Cold Stress in Lemon verbena
Symptoms
Lemon verbena tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while no immediate changes might be seen in winter, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that haven't produced new foliage.

Symptoms
In summer, Lemon verbena should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures go above 86℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in color, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-damaged and dried-out sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
