Signs of Cold Conditions in Winter daffodil
Symptoms
Winter daffodil tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 55℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate changes might be seen in winter, spring may bring reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Excessive Heat in Winter daffodil
Symptoms
In summer, Winter daffodil should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures go above 75℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, get sunburned, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
