Signs of Cold Stress in Giant duckweed
Symptoms
Giant duckweed tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 64℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, eliminate any sections that did not sprout.

Symptoms
In summer, Giant duckweed should be kept below 82℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl easily, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant may wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
