Signs of Cold Stress in Sand dune willow
Symptoms
Sand dune willow is highly resilient to cold, but winter temperatures should stay above 32℉. If temperatures fall below this point, while no immediate changes might be visible in winter, branches could become fragile and dry in spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
During spring, remove any dead branches that have not developed new foliage.

Symptoms
Sand dune willow does not tolerate high temperatures well. When temperatures exceed 75℉, it may shed a lot of leaves, and in extreme cases, the whole plant might wilt and perish.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are scorched by the sun and dried out. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to keep the soil damp.
