Signs of Cold Stress in Ravennagrass
Symptoms
Ravennagrass tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 41℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Ravennagrass
Symptoms
During summer, Ravennagrass should be kept below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the entire plant may wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-damaged and dried-out portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
