Ideal Temperature for Balsam poplar

Indications of Low Temperature in Balsam poplar
Symptoms
Balsam poplar tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 50℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 40℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, branches can become fragile and parched by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
During spring, remove any lifeless branches that have not produced fresh foliage.
Indications of High Temperature in Balsam poplar
Symptoms
In summer, Balsam poplar should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are sunburned and dried out. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
