Signs of Cold Temperatures in Rock polypody
Symptoms
Rock polypody tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 40℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, there could be reduced or absent sprouting in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of High Temperatures in Rock polypody
Symptoms
In summer, Rock polypody should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
