Signs of Cold Stress in Dwarf ginseng
Symptoms
Dwarf ginseng exhibits significant cold hardiness, yet winter temperatures should remain above 32℉. Should temperatures fall below this point, while no immediate changes may be apparent in winter, a reduction or complete absence of sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
During spring, eliminate any sections that have not germinated.
Signs of Heat Stress in Dwarf ginseng
Symptoms
Dwarf ginseng does not tolerate elevated temperatures well. When the temperature surpasses 75℉, its development ceases, and its vulnerability to decay increases.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
