Signs of Cold Stress in Glademallow
Symptoms
Glademallow tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
Remove any unsprouted sections in spring.
Signs of Heat Stress in Glademallow
Symptoms
In summer, Glademallow should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, plant leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
