Signs of Cold Temperatures in Pennyroyal
Symptoms
Pennyroyal tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, there could be reduced or absent sprouting in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of High Temperatures in Pennyroyal
Symptoms
During summer, Pennyroyal should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures go above 80℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in color, tend to curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
