Spring madia exhibits exceptional cold hardiness, yet winter temperatures must remain above 32℉. Should the temperature fall below this point, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, a reduction in sprouting or complete lack of sprouting could occur in spring.

Signs of Heat Stress in Spring madia
Symptoms
Spring madia does not tolerate elevated temperatures well. When temperatures surpass 80℉, its development ceases, and its vulnerability to decay increases.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
