Licorice plant favors warm conditions and cannot withstand low temperatures. It flourishes optimally when the temperature exceeds 65℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 55℉. Should the temperature drop below 40℉, its foliage might lose some color. Following frost damage, the hue progressively shifts to brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping might appear.
Solutions
Remove the sections affected by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from the cold. Select a location near a south-facing window for the plant, ensuring abundant sunlight. Furthermore, refrain from positioning the plant close to heating units or air conditioning vents to prevent excessive air dryness.
