Signs of Cold Stress in Dwarf sundew
Symptoms
Dwarf sundew tolerates cool conditions moderately well, flourishing optimally between 65℉ and 80℉. In colder months, temperatures should remain above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, foliage may darken. Severe cases can lead to waterlogged decay, wilting, drooping, and a gradual browning of the leaves.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm spot or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection from cold. When inside, position it near a south-facing window for adequate light. If natural light is insufficient, provide additional illumination.
Signs of Heat Stress in Dwarf sundew
Symptoms
In summer, Dwarf sundew should be maintained below 80℉. When temperatures surpass 90℉, the plant's development slows, its leaf color fades, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any parts that are sunburned and dried. Move the plant to an area offering protection from the afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
