Signs of Cold Stress in Indian aster
Symptoms
Indian aster tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 59℉. If temperatures drop below 41℉, while winter changes might be unapparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Indian aster
Symptoms
In summer, Indian aster should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, plant leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant might wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
