Broadleaf milkweed tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 70℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 60℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring sprouting could be reduced or absent.

Symptoms
In summer, Broadleaf milkweed should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's foliage may lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant might wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
