Signs of Cold Temperatures in Rain tree
Symptoms
Rain tree tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures are above 77℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 68℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, even if no immediate changes are visible in winter, branches might become fragile and dry in spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that haven't produced new foliage.
Signs of High Temperatures in Rain tree
Symptoms
During summer, Rain tree should be kept below 95℉. When temperatures go above 104℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off the sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
