Signs of Cold Stress in Annual thymelaea
Symptoms
Annual thymelaea tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Annual thymelaea
Symptoms
During summer, Annual thymelaea should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, suffer from sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
