Signs of Cold Temperatures in Persian ironwood
Symptoms
Persian ironwood tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, branches can become fragile and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.
Signs of High Temperatures in Persian ironwood
Symptoms
During summer, Persian ironwood should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off the sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
