Signs of Cold Stress in Cinnamon fern
Symptoms
Cinnamon fern tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 55℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 40℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Cinnamon fern
Symptoms
In summer, Cinnamon fern should be maintained below 80℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, tend to curl, and become more vulnerable to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
