Signs of Cold Stress in Water mimosa
Symptoms
Water mimosa exhibits moderate resilience to cold and flourishes optimally within the temperature range of 75℉ to 86℉. Throughout the winter, temperatures should not drop below 64℉. Should the temperature fall beneath 50℉, foliage may darken. In extreme instances, water-soaked tissue death, wilting, and drooping can occur, with leaves progressively turning brown.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection against cold. When bringing the plant inside, select a spot near a south-facing window to ensure adequate sunlight. If light is insufficient, artificial lighting can be utilized.
Signs of Heat Stress in Water mimosa
Symptoms
In summer, Water mimosa should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's development decelerates, its leaf coloration lightens, and its vulnerability to sun damage increases.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering shade from the afternoon sun. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
