Signs of Cold Stress in Gromwell

Gromwell tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.

Symptoms
In summer, Gromwell should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves may lighten, curl easily, suffer sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant might wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
