Indications of Cold Conditions for Rice cutgrass
Symptoms
Rice cutgrass tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Indications of Warm Conditions for Rice cutgrass
Symptoms
In summer, Rice cutgrass should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, suffer from sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
