Signs of Cold Temperatures in Puget sound gumweed
Symptoms
Puget sound gumweed tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures are above 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.

In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.

Symptoms
In summer, Puget sound gumweed should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures go above 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, get sunburned, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to keep the soil damp.
