Signs of Cold Stress in Blue-sage
Symptoms
Blue-sage thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs above 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. Below 40℉, leaves may lose color. Post-frost, they brown or blacken, showing wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm spot for protection. Position near a south-facing window for sufficient light. Avoid placing near heating or AC vents to prevent air from becoming too dry.
Signs of Heat Stress in Blue-sage
Symptoms
In summer, Blue-sage needs temperatures below 75℉. Above 85℉, leaves lighten and the plant becomes prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Prune off sun-scorched and desiccated areas. Move the plant to a shaded location during midday and afternoon. Water in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
