Signs of Cold Temperatures in Indian rhubarb
Symptoms
Indian rhubarb tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be seen, spring may bring reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of High Temperatures in Indian rhubarb
Symptoms
In summer, Indian rhubarb should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
