Signs of Cold Stress in Bermuda grass
Symptoms
Bermuda grass tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that haven't sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Bermuda grass
Symptoms
In summer, Bermuda grass should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 104℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
