Signs of Cold Stress in White turmeric
Symptoms
White turmeric tolerates cool conditions moderately, flourishing optimally between 68℉ and 86℉. In winter, temperatures should remain above 50℉. Below 32℉, foliage may darken. Severe cases show water-soaked decay, wilting, drooping, and a gradual browning of leaves.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm spot or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection. Indoors, position near a south-facing window for adequate light. Supplement with artificial lighting if natural light is insufficient.
Signs of Heat Stress in White turmeric
Symptoms
In summer, White turmeric needs temperatures below 86℉. Above 95℉, growth slows, leaves lighten, and susceptibility to sunburn increases.
Solutions
Remove sun-scorched and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering afternoon shade. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
