Ideal Temperature for Cumin

Signs of Cold Stress in Cumin
Symptoms
Cumin exhibits moderate resilience to cool temperatures, flourishing optimally between 68℉ and 77℉. Throughout the colder months, temperatures should remain above 59℉. Should the temperature drop below 32℉, foliage may darken. In extreme instances, water-soaked tissue death, wilting, and drooping can occur, with leaves progressively browning.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection against cold. When bringing the plant inside, select a spot near a south-facing window to ensure adequate light. If natural light is insufficient, consider using artificial grow lights.
Signs of Heat Stress in Cumin
Symptoms
In summer, Cumin should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, the plant's development decelerates, its leaves lighten in hue, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to an area offering shade from the afternoon sun. Water the plant during the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
