Signs of Cold Stress in Poison Bulb
Symptoms
Poison Bulb tolerates cool conditions moderately well, flourishing optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, foliage may begin to sag. Minor cases allow recovery, but severe instances lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before subsequent cold exposure, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and erect a windbreak to shield it from chilling gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Poison Bulb
Symptoms
In summer, Poison Bulb should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, leaf coloration fades, leaf tips may dry and shrivel, leaves might curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth for cover. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
