Signs of Cold Stress in Milkmaids
Symptoms
Milkmaids tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 50℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 40℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Milkmaids
Symptoms
In summer, Milkmaids should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures exceed 80℉, leaves may lighten, curl, suffer sunburn, and in severe cases, the plant may wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated parts. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
