Signs of Cold Stress in Dwarf rose
Symptoms
Dwarf rose tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that haven't produced new foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Dwarf rose
Symptoms
During summer, Dwarf rose should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, plant leaves may lighten, tips might dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
