Signs of Cold Stress in Bulbous bluegrass
Symptoms
Bulbous bluegrass tolerates cold well and grows optimally above 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might be unapparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
Remove any unsprouted sections in the spring.
Signs of Heat Stress in Bulbous bluegrass
Symptoms
In summer, Bulbous bluegrass should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures exceed 85℉, plant leaves may lighten, curl, suffer sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant can wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
