Indications of Cold Temperatures in Balsam groundsel
Symptoms
Balsam groundsel tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not germinated.
Indications of High Temperatures in Balsam groundsel
Symptoms
During summer, Balsam groundsel should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's foliage may lighten, curl easily, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the entire plant might wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
