Symptoms
Jewel orchid flourishes in warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 55℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, leaves will show widespread water-soaked damage, wilting, and drooping.
Solutions
Remove any frost-damaged sections. Promptly move the plant indoors to a warm spot to shield it from the cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window for sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.

In summer, Jewel orchid should be kept below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant stops growing, and its leaves progressively wilt. It becomes more prone to root rot and can easily get sunburned in direct sunlight.

Cut off any sunburned and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot that offers shade from the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain moisture for both the plant and its surroundings.
