Signs of Cold Stress in Humboldt's lily
Symptoms
Humboldt's lily tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while immediate winter changes might not be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Humboldt's lily
Symptoms
In summer, Humboldt's lily should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the entire plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
