Signs of Cold Stress in Sea rush
Symptoms
Sea rush tolerates cool temperatures moderately well, flourishing optimally when temperatures exceed 59℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 41℉, foliage may begin to sag. Mild cases are recoverable, but severe cold causes leaves to wilt and eventually shed.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before further cold exposure, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or burlap, and erect a windbreak to shield it from chilling gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Sea rush
Symptoms
In summer, Sea rush should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, leaves may lighten in color, tips might dry and shrivel, foliage could curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to ensure consistent soil moisture.
