Ideal Temperature for Red yucca

Signs of Cold Stress in Red yucca
Symptoms
Red yucca flourishes in warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, the plant may weaken, droop, and become susceptible to root decay. Minor frost damage might not show immediate signs, but the plant will progressively decline after about a week.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections, checking for root rot. If roots are rotted, trim them and propagate new plants from cuttings. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm spot, positioning it near a south-facing window for ample light. Supplement with artificial lighting if natural light is inadequate.
Signs of Heat Stress in Red yucca
Symptoms
In summer, Red yucca should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's development will halt, leading to dehydration, wilting, and increased vulnerability to sun damage.
Solutions
Excise the sunburnt and decayed portions. Protect the plant from intense afternoon sun until it recuperates and resumes growth. For plants with root rot, cease irrigation until new roots emerge.
