Signs of Cold Stress in Bottle gentian
Symptoms
Bottle gentian tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.

Signs of Heat Stress in Bottle gentian
Symptoms
In summer, Bottle gentian should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
