Signs of Cold Temperatures in Syrian-privet
Symptoms
Syrian-privet tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 45℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
During spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced fresh leaves.

Symptoms
In summer, Syrian-privet should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried out. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
