Indications of Low Temperature in Hairy cupgrass
Symptoms
Hairy cupgrass tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 70℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, there could be reduced or absent sprouting in spring.
Solutions
In spring, eliminate any sections that did not sprout.
Indications of High Temperature in Hairy cupgrass
Symptoms
In summer, Hairy cupgrass should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 90℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, tend to curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove the sun-damaged and dried-out portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
