Signs of Cold Conditions in Wild cucumber
Symptoms
Wild cucumber tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, even if no immediate winter changes are apparent, branches might become fragile and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that haven't produced new foliage.
Signs of Hot Conditions in Wild cucumber
Symptoms
During summer, Wild cucumber should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures go above 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off the sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
