Indications of Cold Temperatures in Texas bindweed
Symptoms
Texas bindweed tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 70℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, there could be reduced or absent sprouting in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Indications of Hot Temperatures in Texas bindweed
Symptoms
During summer, Texas bindweed should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-scorched and dried-out portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
